'Kate took time to listen to our needs and wants, likes and dislikes and gave us some really good advice taking into account how we wanted to use the garden, colours, ecology, soil conditions, weather, vistas, maintenance and so on. Her gardening plans were extremely detailed and beautifully presented. The result is a garden that we absolutely love and which connects the look and style of our house from the inside to the outside. Every visitor always comments on how wonderful our garden is”

THE GARDEN DESIGN PROCESS
STEP ONE
KATE WILL INITIALLY view a project free of charge, within a 10-mile radius of the office base, outside that range, there is just a fee for fuel. This is a free viewing for approx half an hour.
HERE THE CLIENT CAN discuss their needs and desires for a garden. If a design is required, the space will be surveyed by her team, (for more complicated schemes a surveyor will be brought in).
STEP TWO
INITIAL PLAN is produced showing proposed areas of hard and soft Landscaping. Once the client has viewed and approved or made adjustments a CONCEPT PLAN is made in 2D, detailing the hard landscaping and areas of planting.
Then a CONSTRUCTION NOTE PLAN is produced from which the landscaper can give a separate quote.
STEP THREE
THE PLANTING PLAN is a separate plan showing existing plants as well as new plants to go in the garden. The number required of each plant, sizes and prices etc, This plan also includes a maintenance sheet.
If all the above is agreed with the client, dates would be arranged for the landscaping and then planting.
All site visits are charged a fee and planting can be arranged by Kate and her team. A fee agreed with the client is payable at each stage of the design process.
